7th International Prader-Willi Syndrome Conference

20-23 May 2010 - Taipei, Taiwan
Every three years IPWSO, in conjunction with a host country, hold an international PWS conference.  The format is always the same: A Scientific Conference alongside and combined with, a Parent & Professional Conference, alongside and combined with, a Careproviders' Conference.  There is also have a Young Persons' Programme designed especially by the host country. The meeting program also includes the presentation of reports by leading researchers in a narrow specialization. External experts and a professional editor for dissertation evaluate the qualifying and competitive works of the participants according to a special scale, and provide recommendations and suggestions for improving the theoretical part of the papers. The combination of these three programmes, plus the young persons' programme, makes IPWSO unique and extra-special providing a wonderful opportunity for professionals in every field to mix and talk with parents from all over the world.

European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD) 22nd Annual Meeting
27-29 May 2010 – Brussels, BELGIUM
The EACD is an academic, multidisciplinary association of professionals working with children with disabilities throughout Europe.
The theme of the Brussels 2010 EACD Meeting is "MEASURES OF PROGRESS – Evaluating management outcome in childhood disability". Major conceptual and technological advances in the management of children with neurodevelopmental disability have brought about new challenges with respect to evaluation, management and research in habilitation outcomes. The Brussels 2010 EACD Meeting will provide an occasion for updating and clarifying the multidimensional model of disablement as it specifically applies to management of children with neurodevelopmental disability. It will reemphasise the need for reliable measurement of management outcomes through new findings, from functional imaging to quality of life assessment.
