GfH Meeting of Human Genetics
2 - 4 March 2010 Hamburg, GERMANY

This conference is jointly organised by the German Society of Human Genetics, the Austrian Society of Human Genetics (ÖGH) and the Swiss Society of Medical Genetics (SGMG). The GfH annual conference provides a forum for all with a common interest in Human Genetics to meet and discuss their latest findings and to offer young scientists the possibility to present their results to the scientific community. 
To participate in the conference, each participant from a college or university needs to attach a statement from the administration of the educational institution about the successful completion of all academic tasks to the application. For students who were unable to present the results of their research, write a review, description in time, we provide an opportunity to order term papers here https://top-papers.com/buy-term-papers-online/. After all, for the sake of achieving a common goal, we are ready to help each other under any conditions.This series of conferences began with the first meeting being held in Munich in 1989. Each year the conference is held in a different German or Austrian location and is usually of 2 or 3 days duration.

M62 Dysmorphology Meeting,

This newly established annual meeting is aimed at specialists who may be involved in the management of patients with skeletal dysplasias including geneticists, radiologists, orthopaedic surgeons, endocrinologists and metabolic physicians. It is an informal forum allowing attendees to present cases for discussion regarding known and unknown diagnoses or clinical management issues. In addition there are 1 or 2 set presentations by invited speakers, for example, “Multiple Epiphyseal Dysplasia” and “C-spine problems in bone dysplasias”. For those involved to date this meeting has been of significant clinical and educational interest. Members of the DYSCERNE team will be attending the next meeting June 2010.

4th Intl Conference on Birth defects and Disabilities in the Developing World
4-7 October 2009 – New Delhi, INDIA
With the substantial control of infections and nutritional disorders, birth defects have emerged as a major global cause of death and disability. Every year an estimated 7.8 million children are born in the world with a serious genetic or acquired birth defect. Of these 3.3 million die each year. The impact of birth defects is particularly severe in developing countries where 90% of births and 95% of deaths of children with serious birth defects occur. The conference is timely as most developing countries lack comprehensive programs for care and control of birth defects, either because their importance is underestimated or because they perceive lack of resources. This conference will demonstrate why both these notions are incorrect

The American Society of Human Genetics: 59th Annual Meeting
20 October 2009 – 24 October 2009 – Honolulu, HAWAII
The Society's annual meeting is held each fall in a major U.S. or Canadian city and attracts over 4,500 attendees, plus exhibitors. ASHG members and others are selected to present their research findings at platform and poster sessions. Abstracts of work submitted for presentation at the annual meeting are published in print and online versions. ASHG members may register for the annual meeting at reduced rates.

Highlighting each annual meeting are symposia, workshops and other sessions focusing on important research and clinical developments in human genetics that are presented by prominent professionals selected and invited by the program committee.

Rare Diseases II: Hearing and Sight Loss 25-30 October 2009 - Sant Feliu de Guixols, SPAIN
The meeting will bring together experts in sensory neuroscience, developmental biology, genetics, cell biology, modelling, translational research and therapy. Dyscerne 1st Partner Meeting 28th October 2008 – Manchester, UK

In October 2008, preceeding the Manchester Dysmorphology conference, the Dyscerne Project Partner meeting was held in Manchester. All partners attended the meeting including all the team at the co-ordinating centre.


 

2007

Dyscerne Launch Meeting 5th October 2007 – Manchester, UK

In October 2007, the DYSCERNE Project Launch Meeting was held at the Nowgen Centre in Manchester. This strategic planning meeting was attended by the main project partners, and was successful in establishing the roles of each of the partners in delivering the project’s aims.


It was great to get everybody together for the first time, to see the project begin to take shape, and to have the opportunity to incorporate the partners’ visions of DYSCERNE into our planning for the next three years.
